Since last few days I have been wondering if the hosting server matters to SEO. Does it makes a difference from SEO perspective if the sites renders super fast or slow? As per my small amount of research it does not matter! I tried to search for “Rohit” on google and my blog is nowhere on the first 6 pages while the top most name is of another person with the same name (Rohit). His name is prominent on the search and I could clearly see a difference in activity. His blog is very well established and he is a regular writer.  Now I wanted to also see if his blog performs far better on performance. Below is a performance comparison video that I made at http://www.webpagetest.org . It is clearly evident from this video that performance makes no difference.

Lesson: If you are serious about climbing the search page ranking ladder, write regularly and frequently.

    Hi Rohit,
Its me Syed Saulat Rizvi  from Copart.

I think performance does matter but these factors matters first
    1) Search engines needs more content, the more the page gets updated with relevant content, the google spider indexes your page more often and there are more chances to get in google serps
    2) Number of proper external links pointing to your page or site (actually increases the google page rank) increase the weight age of your site
    3) domain names also plays a major role, google prefers showing results for matching domain names with longer expiration periods
    4) Promoting your page with the right keywords (through external and internal links)
    5) Page performance
The list goes further to hundred points…

suggestion: Post your site link  http://www.rohitprabhakar.com upto 25 other blogging sites with link title as “Rohit Technical blog for developers”. Keep your page to be updated thrice a day with FRESH unique content (no duplicates), install and activate
XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress (it will ping google indexer every time when ever your page is updated)

u need a working example check my blog… search the following keywords in google

“lock request time out period exceeded”
“type 2 slowly changing dimension query”
    “httpsessionlistener example”

You will get my blog (einfobuzz.com) on first 2 google pages
